Beautiful

I know. I know. I'm sorry. I haven't blogged that much lately, and I'm a bad blogger, and you have been denied seeing hot men. So, I will rectify that in this post! Quick update: Still in school, still no job, still no car, but still optimistic. I got my schedule for my LAST 2 classes for this degree, and then I'm done. Woot woot!

 I spent the day with my best friend from high school. Not my BFF, but more than that, he's like my brother. He was looking at houses to buy, and I love looking at real estate, and it was a great day to catch up. I can go years (and have) of not speaking with him, but once we are in each others company, it's like no time has passed at all. I love that about us, we don't need to talk every day, we just always know we are there for each other.

I will blog more often, there will be a Songs of Sunday tomorrow, and once again I'm sorry. A lot going on with school, studying for my Microsoft cert, and um....that lil Android game I downloaded called Defender II. Haha, it rules me! :) Enjoy your holiday weekend. ;) peace

Back to Blogging

Sorry folks, I've been absent because of this! My friend introduced me to this game, and I'm addicted! I play it on my HTC Evo Shift, and I'm nowhere near stage 500, but I am at 100. :) I will come back to life soon! LOL If you download it, let me know how you like it. I am soooo not a gamer, but I can not put this game down. Hopefully a Songs of Sunday will be up soon. ;) peace

Hodgepodge

Was a long day, most of it spent on buses and trains to and from campus. Takes a couple hours, but I don't mind. I had one guy on the bus hit on me, and I was like not into it because I was sleepy and cranky! Haha, I had to shut him down, but for the record I politely shut him down before I had to ghetto shut him down!

I ran into Hottie on campus, had a good visit. He's looking even hotter, he's filling out, seems taller too. Still an arrogant butt head, but didn't annoy me too bad.

My workout friend lost his job, so it looks like we are back to working out! Yay! I'll stick to the schedule this time. :) Hope you enjoy your Friday. ;) peace

Cooking

So my experimenting with the crock pot is not going well. So far I am 4 inedible, and 2 edible dishes! Haha, I think my problem with my last dish, is I over cooked it. I usually go an hour or two longer than the recipe says because I'm afraid the meat won't cook through. I attempted this chicken and rice dish last night. The recipe was simple, but when I woke up this morning, ick! It was like a paste thingy, and my chicken thighs had literally disappeared! Not even a bone! LOL So I'm assuming I cooked it way too long. Soooo, since I'm trying to eat healthier (getting sick of eating out, and eating processed foods, and with no car can't go visit momma for home cooking)maybe I should try something like this? It looks delish, I love all the ingredients, and it's fast, and healthy. Hmmm, I may try it later this week.

Happy Hump Day, I got class tonight. Hoping my teacher can help me with my Linux install, I got it on my machine, but the GUI is all messed up. ;) peace

Today's weather...

...has been ideal! Yesterday was mid 70's, today was low 80's, both days with a nice breeze. Cools down nice in the evenings. Just awesomeness. PLUS, I think my allergies are finally going away. Walked to the store today without sneezing my head off! Just a couple sneezes. I usually only get allergies for about a month out of the year. Unlike my brothers who are pretty much in agony the whole summer. Nothing much else to share, still looking for a job, still studying, and just knowing everything will work out car/job wise. I did however, find out (since El Swiss wanted to know my good news) when my unemployment will end. It's not as bad as I thought. So now that I have a date, I can focus, not knowing was the worst part, and trying to call EDD is impossible. I did send an email and got a quick reply. So yeah, now I can focus more on my studies, and job searching, just knowing a date makes my concentration so much better. Hope everyone has a great week! ;) peace

Abs

Ever since my work out friend got a job, I have yet to hit the gym. Not that I really attacked it before, but it was one of my New Year resolutions, and I was proud I was still going (kinda) this far into the year. Also my goal to put on 10lbs, not happening. Still 137lbs, as I have been for years! LOL Plus since I don't have a car, I walk everywhere, so I'm burning more calories, and I'm starving all the time! So I'm eating all the time, but probably not stuff that helps put the weight on, haha! So yeah this week I was in a rut, but I found out some good news, and now I feel I can focus more on my studies, and a work out routine. I'm going to start swimming, too. Been living here over a year and have yet to put one foot in the pool!
