iPhone Men

So we are into the final stretch of school for me before I graduate. Also the final run on my unemployment benefits. So of course, the way my life works, they'll both end about the same time and I have no job. LOL Am I stressing? Not really, I mean I'm concerned, for sure, but I just have a feeling everything will work out. It has so far. I have a couple of good job leads this coming week. One is in IT, and the other is being a waiter at a local restaurant. Haha. There are pros and cons to both positions. The IT position is in a city I would have a very difficult time in trying to get to. Plus the hours might change after a few weeks and I'll be stranded outside of my suburban bubble after the buses stop. It doesn't pay much, but the experience alone would be wonderful.

The waiter position is within walking distance, and I would need to make just $32 in tips to make what I'd be making what the IT position pays, (after minimum wage)CA is a min. wage plus tips state. Also, and more importantly, the waiter position would be a varied schedule, so that would free up time for me to study for my Microsoft Certifications. I have 3 to get, and that's the whole reason I went to school was for those certs to be a Network Administrator. So, we shall see what happens this week.

I keep looking at the calendar though. LOL It's hard to focus on my last class, which is stats, lawd to fail a class at this stage would be horrible.

It'll work out, something will happen for me soon job wise. No muse for today's post, other than I've been neglecting putting hot men up. Enjoy! ;) peace

Sorry for the long pause in posting! Can't believe it's been almost a week! Shame on Leo!

Nothing new to report. In my last six weeks of school, frantically looking for a job, and trying to keep up with my studies. Same ol same ol. :) My cheap roomie canceled our internet, so now I have to tether my phone, which is so slow. My point being I like to blog at the end of my day, to share with you all, but with no internet...or fast internet, it has been daunting. I'll try and be better though. Until then, I thought this was hilarious! ;) peace

Nothing new to blog about, in my last term of school! No more Saturday classes, just the stats on Friday nights. Ironically I'm actually getting stats. It's all formulas, and they give you the data so you just plug in the numbers and compute the formula. Although there are a couple ladies who are really struggling. Can't believe I'm almost done. Not sure where the time went, but I'm glad to be almost done. Hope everyone is doing great! ;) peace

Songs of Sunday

So I went out last night. Something I rarely do. I haven't been to a gay bar in 6 years, much less a club. Just not a big partier, but it was my BFF's b'day and he was in town, so yeah. I had fun. I should have known though, I about choked to death on my first sip of alcohol as I tried to do a shot of tequila! LOL It went down the wrong pipe, so there I was gagging and trying to catch my breath while feeling like I was going to puke. Was not a good look. LOL So I won't be doing any more gay bars soon. And yes, I blame the fact I almost DIED on the bar being gay.

It was nice spending time with my BFF, and catching up. I don't really remember a lot though. Haha. I woke up with $54 dollars on me, and two "good morning" texts from a Paul and Derek. LOL I didn't give my # out, so I'm thinking my BFF did, because I vaguely remember talking to a Paul and Derek. Oh and I went out with $60, so uh...I have no idea how I only spent $6 bucks. That shot was alone was like $7. Maybe I robbed someone? LOL

In any case, had a good time. Today's song is Titanium by David Guetta. I love this song. It kind of starts out a little country, but David Guetta is definitely not country! Love the lyrics, too. Fire away, fire away! Hope everyone has a great week! ;) peace

Tease

So today was my last tech class. Took my final in Cisco, and got an A, and that's it no more tech classes. It was kind of weird. I've been with three of the guys for 2 years and the rest of the class for the last year. We started with 21 guys a year ago, and 9 of us finished. Me and two friends usually play cards before lecture, and after lecture. We play and joke and I crack them up because I keep forgetting the rules. LOL The game is called Dueces and we play the Chinese, and the Vietnamese style. Anyways, it occurred to me that this would be the last time we played in class. It's beginning to sink in that I'm almost done with this degree. I can taste the freedom! Haha.

Still job searching, I'm feeling optimistic. Just gotta focus on these last six weeks of Statistics and then I'm done! So close! ;) peace

Today's Weather...

...is Hot!! We are supposed to be in the 100's all week. Luckily where I live, we have a Delta breeze usually. So if it's a 100 it only feels like maybe 95, lol! Still hot, but bearable. With no car I tend to study in the clubhouse on hot days, but today I came to the library to use their bandwith. :) Wasn't too bad of a walk, and it's really close. The heat is supposed to last until this weekend, which btw Saturday is my last Saturday class! Woo hoo! Had Saturday class for over a year! Ugh! Not that I'm a party animal on Friday nights or anything, but getting up early on Saturdays to go to class is never fun. Even if you like the class.

Haha! I didn't get a chance to blog yesterday, and by the time I did I was at home and we still have no internet. Tethering my phone is way too slow.

I went and saw Savages yesterday, it was a bit gory for me, but overall a very good film! I normally wait for movies like that to go on DVD before I watch them, saving my $ instead for the big blockbuster films with all the special effects. I was glad I went though, Selma Hayek played an excellent villain! Was nice to see her in that role. I dunno why, but it was. Haha.

Today I watched Burlesque, so that's why it's this video. :) Christina Aguilera -Show me how you Burlesque. Oh and then after, my version of the song. ;) peace

Happy Friday

Was not a productive week, but I did get some answers to some questions I had, and that makes me feel better. At the library waiting for my friend to pick me up for class. There is a math lab first that I'm going to attend, although I think I "get" last week's lesson. Still never hurts to get extra help. Enjoy!;) peace

Blog pics

Okay, so some of you regular followers know that I have two lappys, and I switched out the hard drives in them. Well I had backed up my blog pics folders awhile ago, soooo now that swap is complete, I've put the folder back on my drive. Only to realize that I've blogged quite a bit since the back up, so some of the pics are old. Basically this means I am going to be posting duplicate pics for awhile. LOL only because I don't know which pics I've posted since I did the back up. I'm sure you won't mind. Haha, I'm going to clean the folder out, and then start fresh. About 60 pics, some may be new, others will be dupes. They will be Hot Random Pics posts. Once they're all posted we'll go back to the regular categories of Abs Chest, Eyes, etc. Enjoy ;) peace
