Hi, remember me? Happy New Year!  LOL I know, it's not even excusable that I haven't blogged in over a month! So let me just give you the bullet points:

Still loving the job, they're moving me to the downtown office; where I'll have my own office and have more responsibilities. I'll become a subject matter expert in our dictation software and train the doctors on how to use it.

I love where I live. We now have another roomie, so that makes 4 of us, and he's a perfect fit for the house. We've all bonded, we get along and I couldn't be more happier in my new home. We shoot pool, drink beer, and basically just goof off like every night. LOL But we get up and go to work responsibly the next day. I have one gay roomie, one "straight" roomie, and one straight roomie. LOL The quotes are because him and I have a very weird relationship, I think he's into me and he's having trouble accepting that, for the record years and years ago, he dated the gay roomie briefly. Sooo, I dunno. In any case, he's hot, and fun and I enjoy his company and that's pretty much where it's at. I'm not keen on a dating a roomie anyways, but it's fun teasing one. LOL

Still no car, but once they move me to the downtown office, that will be my primary location, so I won't need to rent a car as often, therefore I can save some money up and get my own car. Also it's an easier commute public transit wise. So all in all, life is good. One of my friends suggested I should be blogging about what happens in the "gay house" as I call it. I call it the Gay House 'cause when I was looking at rooms, it was either this one, or one around the corner...so to differentiate them when talking to my friends about them, I called this one the Gay House because of my gay roomie. Haha.

So maybe I'll start doing that, maybe after we're done playing pool for the night; provided I'm sober enough to type. LOL

This is Bound 2.5 by Delazaoo who I found out about from a Twitter follower. Which reminds me, you should follow me on Twitter, I'm ALWAYS tweeting as opposed to rarely blogging. A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera, Say Something. I love this song!! Like we all have had a point where this song totally hits home. I also like how Christina is so powerful, but she doesn't try to steal the show, she just gives great support. Love it. Enjoy! ;) peace

Life Update.

Remember when this blog was happening? LOL I'm just so lazy now, but that will change! Yeah, I know, I say that all the time. Haha. Okay, moving on. Good news! I found a place to live! Yay! No more hotels for me. I hope I didn't just jink myself! I found a room for rent with two cool guys in a huge house in my old neighborhood. Ya know, my bubble where you don't need a car 'cause everything is within walking distance. I'm so glad to be back in my old stomping grounds. I like the familiarity of it all. I'm actually at the library at the moment, just caught up with the security guard, saying hi to the librarians. The guys I live with are cool, one is gay and one is "straight", more about the quotations later. LOL The house is huge, we have a pool table, and there's plenty of space. I'm really happy there.

The car situation is the same, I do need one for work so I rent one when needed. As far as the job, still loving it.So blessed to get paid to do stuff I already enjoy doing. I'm very lucky in that aspect. On my downtime at work, I'm going to start studying for my certs, yes, after all this time I'm still working on that! Haha, but I always felt like I couldn't concentrate, 'cause I was looking for a job, or a place to live, but now I have both that I'm really happy with...so no more excuses.

The holidays were nice, went and saw my parents, saw my sister again. She looks terrible, but she's happy, so that's all that matters. At least she's not on the streets, she's renting a room, and she still dumpster dives (recyclables), but she's happy doing that. I guess she goes to karaoke a couple times a week. LOL My "homeless", dumpster diving, meth head, sister has more of a social life than me! #smh (Yes, I did just hash tag my blog post lol) Oh and if you're wondering how I could be so glib about my sister's situation, this has been going on for almost 18 years, the last 7 being the lowest. My family has tried interventions, tough love, everything. We've made our peace with it, and just accept her for who she is.

And last but not least, my New Year's Resolution is...well the same, put on 10 lbs (which I never do), BUT I'm adding; go forth with an open mind to dating. Yes, after 4 years, I'm ready to date again. I mean I had that homeless bout, then school, then looking for a perm job, and a place to live after graduation, I mean...yeah a lot. Things are looking good though, so yeah, going forward I'll be more receptive towards men who take an interest in me. Enjoy your weekend! There WILL be a Songs of Sunday post tomorrow! Took these pics while wandering around Sacramento this weekend. I think I used a filter on just one of them, can you tell which one? LOL It should be pretty easy. These just goes to show that photography is becoming a lost art. I mean I didn't put a lot of thought behind these pics, and they came out pretty cool. So imagine if someone with skill took them! Haha. Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! I won't be able to go to my parent's until Friday, Thanksgiving leftovers!! Oh I also, I looked at room for rent in my old neighborhood that I would love to get. The house is gorgeous, and everything seemed chill with the owner, who is hot btw. Haha. LOL I'm a horrible blogger! But the good thing is, if I'm not blogging then you know things must be going okay. And they are. Still liking the new job, it's interesting, and when there is down time, I can study for my certs, or practice some new IT skills I've learned. All in all, loving it. Still saving up for a car, and looking for a place to live. Until then I'm more than happy in a studio hotel suite. It's really not that expensive, not any more than if I had my own apartment. Today's post was inspired by One Of My Followers, or #OOMF as we say in Twitterspeak. I saw it on his TL and I loved it! The artist's name is Hedley and the song is called Anything. I love the message, despite the cussing. LOL Hope you are all doing great, and I swear I'll start posting more. I do have a lot of stuff in my queue I just haven't gotten around to it. Haha! OneRepublic - Counting Stars. So I rented a car this past weekend, I turn it in on Tuesday. So that meant, I got to listen to the radio, and I love this song! If you listen carefully, you can hear some music from Hung Up by Madonna in there. :) I'll post a life update soon, but I'm doing well. Still loving my job. ;) peace
