Family

So my day started off shitty! My sister ended up flaking on me on going to our cousin's son's birthday party which means my niece couldn't go because my addict/drunk sister wouldn't let her. I was furious and for my Twitter followers, thank you! I rarely go off like that but I was upset and I appreciate your support. I think why I was so pissed was because I NEVER ask my sister for anything. I know I'll be disappointed and so I just don't, but this time I let my guard down and she got to hurt me. I wanna say never again but I know it will happen again. Anyways, the rest of the day turned out great and I had so much fun and so did my nephew. I got some school work done and I was actually comfortable leaving my nephew alone with the party (he's legally blind, so sometimes I get over protective). His cousins watched out for him, my cousins watched out for him and they all helped guide him. He has to grab your elbow and be "steered", so to speak. It was a good day and I told him we'll start visiting them more often. His mom has no say over him, or even my niece actually so I will be talking to her dad so I can start seeing her on the weekends.
I may have no friends close by, but I do have my family and I'm grateful for them. ;) peace

Hodgepodge

So tomorrow is my cousin's boy's birthday party (Eyre, was that the appropriate use of apostrophes?) and I said I would take my nephew and my sis. I didn't realize next week was finals. I wanted to cancel, but my nephew gave up a weekend in the snow and my sister actually was clean all week so she could go and be somewhat "normal". I have to take them. So I put in like almost 6 hours today at school finishing up a lot of homework. I'm exhausted. So my plan tomorrow is to get up, drive over an hour and pick up my nephew and sis, drop them off at the party, go to the local library and finish my virtual lab simulators (labsims). Always making it work! :)

SJ didn't show up to register for school yesterday, I didn't expect he would. Hottie worked my nerves yesterday and he's not someone I would date but I really like our banter, I like our flirting because it's spot on. It's the spark. Ya know the spark you need to date someone? Although I wouldn't date him for a variety of reasons. Today he was texting me and once again we disagreed on the subject. He finally changed the subject to sports, was a good idea on his part.

My mom and I got into it earlier, I'm a momma's boy but sometimes her guilt trips are too much. She called when I was in the shower to tell me she won't be home tomorrow but there are leftovers in the fridge and to eat them. *sigh* love my momma. I gotta stop by her place to pick up my sister who lives in the same complex. Of course I'm gonna go through her fridge! :)

Random

I had an awesome time last night!! Like a hundred people showed up, there was plenty of beer and plenty of illegal fireworks! AND this year I didn't get an ember in the eye lol. Here are a few pics and of course I had to take a pic of the hot guy (one of many that were there)! The only down part was they didn't let me try and hold the fire hose. See after the fireworks are lit and we are cleaning up Greg (my cousins ex neighbor in the old neighborhood) who is pretty blitzed by this time, takes out a fire hose and hooks it up to the fire hydrant and he uses that to clean the streets of all the ash and debris from the fireworks. So for the past two years, I've tried to hold the fire hose but it always puts me on my ass in seconds! So this year Angie (Greg's wife who doesn't drink and is the only sane sober one there) prohibits me from trying it this year! LOL Oh well she was probably right, Greg, my cousin and James are all my big men over 6ft 200 lbs and then there is me at 5'7" 135 lbs, so I can see her point. Oh well Greg said next year he'll send her inside to get something and then we'll hook it up really quick! lol






Being in the new place I've got like 300 channels including all the movie channels and a DVR so yeah, I'm a bit out of it when it comes to world events because I no longer watch my local news, or any news for that matter. Hear are a few headlines that caught my eye.

I have issues with China and their Human Rights laws, so of course this didn't surprise me. Geologist 8 yr prison sentence.

I knew that Tammy Lynn Michaels and Melissa Ethridge broke up, I didn't know Tammy Lynn Michaels was a farm girl or had a blog. Interesting.

Apple was stunned to learn they have it wrong all this time when it came to their signal strength display. I love my BlackBerry. :)

Tats

My cousin was talking about this Steeler tattoo he is thinking of getting. He has like 5 already and asked when I was going to get one. Um, never. I realized my siblings all have tattoos as well as most of my cousins (except one, her and I are the only tattoo free people of the group). I'm sorry but when you hit that certain age when everything starts to sag, how attractive is that tattoo gonna be? Although I guess some people may look at the tats as, I dunno, badges they've earned through out their life. I dunno, I guess I could get one and then get it removed when everything heads South but they don't completely go away! So now I'm old, everything sagging and this discolored patch of skin on my body! ugh!

Okay, I tend to over think things. :) Now tats on these guys! Hotness! Hot tattoo guys who obviously are not thinking about when they get older! Enjoy! ;) peace
