Nothing new to report. I'm almost through my first pool of questions (469), for the first of my 3 Microsoft Certification exams for my MCITP. Still job searching, and still interning downtown. Other than that, not much else going on. Hope everyone is having a great week! ;) peace

I'm still studying for my MCITP and looking for a job, and still interning. The internship is going well, but I think next week will be my last, as I would rather use that time to search for employment. Other than that, nothing new to report! Wow I can't believe it's been over a week since I've blogged! Well not much has really been going on. I'm still interning and I'm learning more, and taking control of some IT responsibilities. I also started job searching, unemployment is not cutting it. LOL And plus I'm ready for the next chapter of my life to start, such as getting a car, my own place, going BACK to school...maybe a boyfriend in there somewhere! Haha. Hope everyone is doing well, and I'll try to post more often! How many times have I said that? Haha. :) peace

Nothing new to report, internship is going well. They are grooming me to be the System Administrator, which is fine because that's what I went to school for! Haha. I just hope the current guy sticks around long enough for me to really get a handle on the network. Hope your week is going great! :) peace

The internship is going well, I'm looking into maybe another one with a bit more to do. This is a small office, so IT wise there isn't an awful lot to do, but I'm definitely learning new stuff. I do like sitting with the guys and talking nerdy tech stuff, reminds of when I was in school. LOL

Happy 4th of July!

Today is the last day of our heat wave, we hit 110 degrees! Haha, wow that was a tough 7 days. Tomorrow should be better, still hot, but not like uber hot. The internship is going very well, I got to play around with some software I went to school for, but only used in labs/homework. It was cool to use it in a real life situation. I'm creating email accounts, and Windows sign on accounts for new employees. Also learning some webpage stuff, and then some Windows server tasks.  And everyone I work with seems pretty cool.

Well I started my internship today! It's for an IT position with a non-profit that works with veterans. It's a small office, but I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of the crew. Unfortunately, there is no IT support on Mondays, so there was no one there to train me. LOL I will be the IT guy on Mondays going forward, once I get trained. I'm going back tomorrow and I'm excited to meet the IT guy, and learn something about the network, and Active Directory. The CEO is Native American, he saw me and called out my tribe the minute he saw me. LOL We had a real nice talk about being Native, where he wants the company to go, AND the permanent positions he wants to create. So who knows, it may just turn into a paying gig. Hope everyone is staying cool, we are in our 4th day of a heatwave! It's going to go for a coupe more days. Can hardly wait. Enjoy your week! ;) peace
