Hodgepodge

So today was my first Saturday class, and I will admit I hated getting up early on a Saturday! I got to class thinking I was late, someone was sitting in my seat (was the ONE and only female in our class, so couldn't really say anything), and the teacher ended up being late! Class is supposed to be 8:40-4:00, but he let us out at 12:30 and I didn't learn squat! *sigh* So I stayed with a friend after class was let out and studied, and worked on homework.

Matt started my morning out by saying "what do you think of that Leo?" and he points at this huge bug under his desk, which he then squashes with his motorcycle boots! Yeah, Matt brought his motorcycle to school today, it's huge! It like, comes up to my chest! Matt is tall though, so it works for him. And the bug thing kind of traumatized me, because before I could say "lets take it outside" it was liquid under his boot. *sigh*

So Eyre is out of town this weekend and has no cell service. I always get a little anxious when she is in technology isolation, but I'm glad she is having a good time out "in the wild". :) I so wouldn't camp with her, because she'd put bugs on my pillow just to hear me say Ew! :)

My roomie has been gone most of the day, so that's been cool. Got to use the A/C and enjoying the quiet. He leaves on Thursday for like 4 days! I like him and all, but it will be nice for some alone time!

So yeah, today has just been a kind of weird day. A good one though. Supposed to hook up with Howard tomorrow and study.

I really need some pretty right now! Today was nasty weather, and as usual I had to cram all my school work into an early evening cramming session (all on me of course). I know whine, whine, whine...but everything is done so I'm good. I also did NOT return Hottie's text messages today, go me! Time for me to take the upper hand, in....whatever the hell we have going on. I'm trying to go Hottie free for good! Thanks to Eyre for being my Hottie sponsor! LOL, with her help I will QUIT him!

Things that Make Me Laugh!

I'm not gonna lie, today sucked! I had to drop a class, Hottie was sad, but annoying, and I totally froze up on tonight's Math test. Then Armageddon opened up the heavens this evening and I was wearing nothing but a long sleeved t-shirt and some jeans! It's cold, it's freezing, I'm cranky and if Hottie calls me like he said he was going to...he would forever rethink about knowing me. I need a do-over!

So based on that, I am grateful I have place to lay my head tonight (for those who have followed me for awhile, you know I was homeless), I'm grateful I'm in school and I am grateful for a lot...but...damn, today was just awful! I'm still here though and still thinking as many good thoughts as I can. I needed a laugh, so you know I had to turn to GloZell. She makes me laugh.

I am beat and I know Eyre will say something sweet (but I want the truth), I totally went back and looked for comma splices...how did I do? #schoolismessingwithmyhead

Book Review

Okay, not a review, I dare say I'm qualified enough to review a book! I did however, just finish a book I really liked! It's called Leave Myself Behind by Bart Yates and I loved it. There were some parts where, okay....maybe it was a bit too much but for the most part, I liked it. I laughed and cried and there were def some OMG moments! I'm waiting for Eyre to get the book so we can chat about it! By the times this post, posts...that may have happen. In any case, was a good read and it's been awhile since I've just got to devour a book and enjoy it so much. I look forward to reading more of his work! ;) peace

Tease

So Eyre had a bad day and posted some horrible stories about humanity and how we just sometimes want to give up our faith in humanity. So I thought I'd find some good news stories and post them, ya know Yin and Yang kinda thing. I found like 3 sites that said they were all about "good news stories and upbeat news" they were PAY SITES!! LMAO I was like really? You want us to pay for good news?!! I did find a happy news site though and it's free and will make you feel good. I admit I was getting discouraged there for a minute, but I finally found what I was looking for. Tease. ;) peace
